This photographic exhibition unCHANGEd, captures elements of our surroundings, both CHANGEd and unCHANGEd.
The exhibition will hopefully encourage the viewer to see some of the changes in our public spaces, positively. These changes of built form and vegetation have often helped enhance the character. It’s important for people to see the intentional growth in vegetation, for example, and then work to preserve the conditions for that progress to remain unCHANGEd. Some of the positive examples are in private spaces that are publicly accessible and should be encouraged.
An intention of the exhibition is to use older, as well as, recent images to give context. In doing so, we wander around Coolum, in time and place. Hopefully some of the images will inspire recollection of the daggy-ness of the town, the wonderful quality that helps to keep that character unCHANGEd.
The exhibition has been created by members of the Coolum Residents Association (CRA) and community contributions. It is by no means complete and we welcome more contributions from citizens for the next unCHANGEd exhibition.
